Northern Regional Polyfest

The Northern Regional Polyfest is celebrated annually by the school in this region. It is an event full of colour music and dance. The purpose of Polyfest is to demonstrate the young people of Porirua's pride in their cultural identity and heritage, through a celebration of unity with the other colleges in the area.
Polyfest attracts a large audience from the communities in and around porirua.
Bishop Viard College has the honour of hosting the 2018 event, with Porirua, Tawa, Aotea, Mana,Onslow, Newlands College and Samuel Marsden Whitby all participating this year.
Performance groups include Kapa Haka, Tokelau, Samoan, Tongan, Tuvalu, Cook Islands and Taiko Drumming.
This is a spectacular event which will run from 3pm to 9pm with doors open to the general public from 2.30pm.
