If you're attending an event of any sort at Te Rauparaha Arena there are a few policies you'll need to abide by.

Alcohol policy

Only alcohol purchased during an event at Te Rauparaha Arena may be consumed.

The only accepted forms of identification for the purchase and consumption of alcohol are:

  • New Zealand Driver Licence
  • A valid passport
  • HANZ 18+ Card

Alcohol must not be taken out of the venue.

Please drink responsibly. Anyone deemed to be intoxicated will be removed from the venue and will not be re-admitted.

You may not supply alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 years old on our premises.

Alcohol must not be consumed in Te Rauparaha Arena carpark, there is a liquor ban in the area.


Smoke-free policy

TRA is a smoke-free and vape-free venue. Smoking or vaping is not permitted inside or within 10 metres of the building.  Anyone found smoking will be removed from the premises.


Food & beverage policy

Te Rauparaha Arena prefers you use the Regular cafe which is located at the entrance to the Te Rauparaha Arena complex.

All food is made fresh daily with a wide range of cabinet food. You can also order menu items plus great coffees, teas, smoothies and milkshakes.

Regular cafe is open 7 days a week between 9am and 3:00pm and has both indoor and outdoor dining during the summer period.

Commercially branded food and drinks are not permitted for ticketed events.


Photography policy

Small digital cameras may be used for most events unless otherwise stated in the ticketing conditions, however the flash must be turned off at all times. Please check with the venue staff if you are in doubt about the venue rules.
