Parking

Park for up to 3 hours while you visit Te Rauparaha Arena, Porirua Library or Pātaka Art + Museum. 

• There are eight disabled car parks available. 
• Display your mobility pass when you use these parks.

If you're coming for a big event, we might not have enough parks for everyone. There is free kerbside parking within a few minutes walk on Heriot Drive, Wi Neera Drive and Norrie Street. 

Most parks are for up to 2 hours, but please check the time limits on signs as parking is monitored. We are only about 8 minutes walk from Porirua train station where parking is free all day.

There are also two council “pay by plate” car parking areas on Hagley St which are free on weekends, and only a short walk from the Arena, across Te Rauparaha Park.

Note, some local businesses have parking enforcement companies monitoring their carparks, so please only park where permitted.
